ABEP 2375 is an oilfield biocide based Tetrakis (Hydroxymethyl) Phosphonium Sulfate (THPS) in aqueous solution.

The middle distillate storage can lead to water condensation which gets into the tank through air pipe.Water condenses at the bottom of the tank, where micro-organisms such as bacteria, yeast and fungi develop. These can increase with in the middle distillate, gelatinous deposit which cause engine and boilers problems, above all by clogging the Fuels feed circuit or making the injection pump seizure.
